Joanie on the Pony New Orleans

OUR beloved joan of arc statue…

was given to the citizens of New Orleans in 1958 as a gift from the people of France. Affectionately called Joanie on the Pony by locals, today it rest in Place de France in the French Market. The golden statue is a replica of Emmanuel Fremiet's famous equestrian statue from Paris’ Place des Pyramides.

This statue of Joan is the basis of our logo. Our name “Twelfth Night” is not only the first night of Carnival, it’s also Joan of Arc’s Birthday.

On January 6th the Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc takes to the streets of the French Quarter to initiate the Carnival season. In celebration of this aspect of our culture we dedicate this decadent layered vanilla and caramel, kissed by the smooth embrace of the French Quarter's finest espresso to Joan. The richness of this exquisite blend will seduce your senses and awaken a lingering, irresistible craving for the finer things in life.
